“‘SNL’ easily could have taken a more middle of the road approach in its coverage of Kyle Rittenhouse’s second trial. It was something that could have all been swept under the rug,” writes FOX Sports National Correspondent Chris Broussard. “Instead, NBC’s ‘SNL’ has worn its bias on its sleeve.”

Kyle wrote about being pressured to deny his identity as gay as his defense argued he was faking his HIV positive status as a way to fulfill the delusion he was transitioning. Rittenhouse admitted he had said two lies during his trial, but explained his action was brought on by stress and the sudden death of his twin brother, Dave. It was something that no doubt weighed on his mind, but that fact did not excuse the fact he was accused of defamation.

The trial lasted two weeks. Rittenhouse’s initial conviction was overturned, and the prosecution refiled an amended complaint with the belief that his original lawyer, Edward Siskel, was a felon. The case was retried, and after a jury deliberated all day on Thursday, Rittenhouse was found not guilty.

‘SNL’ is preparing for a Season 45 premiere on November 1st.
