Andrew Napolitano, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey for the State of New Jersey and a former New Jersey Superior Court judge, joins Joy Ann Reid and Brian Stelter for a discussion on the novel claims of men being bribed to fake their sexual assault or sexual harassment victims not being believed, and their impact on the #MeToo movement.
Then, the show moves to Texas, where Democratic Congressman Filemon Vela announced Thursday that he’s retiring ahead of the 2022 midterms. Watch above to hear more about this key midterms story and to find out if either Stelter or Reid had any predictions on who might succeed Vela in Congress.
In the Democratic party, Representative Will Hurd, a freshman Republican from Texas, just announced his own retirement. Both Judge Napolitano and Stelter have a suggestion on whom to appoint instead.
Finally, we close the show with Democratic Representative Tim Ryan of Ohio who says he won’t seek reelection after being elected in 2016. Judge Napolitano says he doesn’t believe this means the end of the progressive left as a force, but still thinks there needs to be leadership from the top down.
